BOYLE Aimee, Leiden University, Netherlands
Metal-binding in coiled-coil peptides: effects on folding and stability
Biography:
Aimee Boyle studied Chemistry at the University of Southampton, UK, before completing her PhD under the supervision of Professor Dek Woolfson at the University of Bristol, UK, in 2013. She then moved to Leiden University, NL, where she performed postdoctoral studies in the group of Alexander Kros. After securing a Veni grant from the Dutch research foundation (NWO), she became an independent research fellow in 2016 and was promoted to assistant professor in 2020. Her research interests focus on exploring the relationship between peptide folding and metal-binding.
