Biography:
Lina Rivillas-Acevedo, PhD, is a dedicated chemist conducting research at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma del Estado de Morelos since 2016. Her expertise lies in the study of proteins associated with conformational diseases, investigating the impact of metal ions and UV radiation on the aggregation processes. Passionate about unraveling the mysteries of biomolecules, she contributes to scientific advancement with her innovative approach. She studied chemistry at Universidad de Antioquia in Colombia, and her PhD at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma del Estado de México. Also, she worked as a postdoctoral researcher at different institutions using different spectroscopic techniques.
